Bit of a strange one this, but somewhat apt as one of my most vivid memories of Bill is sitting in our lounge in Hull on a Saturday evening. My father and I would probably have been to watch Hull City, and post game Bill would often turn up with a Chinese Takeaway which seemed extremely exotic to me at the time, and would sit chatting for hours with my father.
You will find the Cockcroft Report referenced throughout this site. It will regularly be mentioned alongside Singapore Maths (imitation is the best form of flattery after all) so the fact it cropped up in China seemed worthy of a mention.
